Manufacturing Engineer (152523)


Pay: Up to $40/hr

Major purpose:
The successful candidate will develop and improve manufacturing processes for the production of complex optical and laser systems within a fast paced manufacturing environment. The candidate will also apply engineering principles and troubleshooting skills to provide day-to-day technical support to active production lines.
Major functions:
Specific responsibilities will include:
Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; and soliciting feedback from operators.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; and validating manufacturing processes.
Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Calibrate and maintain test and production equipment.
Troubleshoot product performance issues to resolution.
Work with inspection and vendors to assure component specification compliance.
Support engineering to production transition efforts for new products.
Generate assembly process flows and work instructions.
Train production and technician staff as required.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Optical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Strong Troubleshooting Skills
Hands on experience with assembly and test of electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems
Working knowledge of laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power meters, and laser beam analyzers
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams"

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
